Once again, GMA Network, a prominent broadcasting company, brought together its most shining stars, executives, media partners, and collaborators for the highly successful "GMA Gala 2023." The grand event took place on July 22 at The Marriott Grand Ballroom in Pasay City.

 

With the title of the local showbiz's most significant event of the year, the GMA Gala 2023 also marked the celebration of the Kapuso Network's 73rd anniversary. Over 500 artists and distinguished guests graced the occasion, elegantly parading on the opulent red carpet in their stylish gowns and suits.

 

Raising the Bar: GMA Gala 2023's Triumphs and Milestones

 

The GMA Gala 2023 proved to be a significant success, managing to raise P1 million for the GMA Kapuso Foundation (GMAKF). Graciously accepting the donation on behalf of the foundation was Ms. Rikki Escudero-Catibog, the Executive Vice President and COO of GMAKF.

 

During the event, the audience was treated to exceptional performances by a lineup of talented artists. Sparkle artists such as Thea Astley, Rita Daniela, Timmy Albert, Selina Griffin, Princess Aliyah, Gaea Mischa, Liana Castillo, John Rex Baculfo, and the renowned Asia's Limitless Star, Ms. Julie Anne San Jose, delivered captivating acts.

 

The night also featured the recognition and honoring of some of the brightest stars of the Network. Kapuso Primetime King and Queen, Dingdong Dantes, and Marian Rivera were lauded as the Couple of the Night. The lead stars of "The Cheating Game," Julie Anne San Jose, and Rayver Cruz, were celebrated as the Sparkle Love Team of the Night.

In addition, Ruru Madrid and Bianca Umali were awarded Male and Female "Young Star of the Night," respectively. The audience also cheered for Asia's Multimedia Star, Alden Richards, as he received the Sparkle Star of the Night (Male) award, while Heart Evangelista was named Sparkle Star of the Night (Female).

The TikTok Crowd Favorite of the Night award in the Male and Female categories went to Pambansang Ginoo David Licauco and Magandang Dilag lead star, Herlene Budol. Meanwhile, Kapuso Primetime Princess, Barbie Forteza, was honored with the Avignon Radiant Beauty of The Night, and Sparkle star Gabbi Garcia was presented with the LazBeauty Look of the Night award.

Jillian Ward, the star of "Abot Kamay na Pangarap," was shining brightly as she received two awards: the Premier Star of the Night award and The Sparkling Smile of the Night award.

Prominent Kapamilya artist Anne Curtis was recognized as the FRONTROW Luxxe Royalty award, while Kyline Alcantara was acknowledged with the Luxxe White Face of the Night award.

Another highlight of the night was Andrea Torres winning the Discover Your Travel Sparkle with PAL Photo contest, showcasing her exceptional photoshoot at the Philippine Airlines’ booth.

Lastly, the Gala celebrated the love of newly engaged couple Bea Alonzo and Dominic Roque, as they were chosen as the Sparkling Couple of the Night, adding warmth and joy to the memorable event.
